Bamboo garden for Los Angeles House

It has grown over 50 years with various owners, never enough water supplied to the oldhamii, Mexican weeping or fastuosa.  Not enough trimming out of old canes.  Our photos were taken in 2006. 

Bambusa oldhamii installed 1950, occasionally cut back by utility workers.  Mexican weeping bamboo installed 1966. Semiarundinaria fastuosa (Temple bamboo) installed with plastic root barrier ion 1966.  Because it began to run into the neighbor's yard we were asked to dig it out in 2006.
