Upland Residence

Couple was afraid of bamboo's bad reputation, but we convinced them we could build a concrete container that would hold the rhizomes in check.  Then we installed Phyllostachys nigra (Black bamboo) and a drip watering system with emitters on a twenty minutes, twice a day schedule.  Plants are topped with 2-3" depth of well-rotted grass clippings.

Note from client - 'Here are a few photos for you. Sorry it took me so long.
The babies are already growing. One shoot is about 12 feet high I would say. Many other shoots are coming up off of each plant. I really like the cement wall that you did. It looks very clean with our new driveway, and is draining great when it rains.'
