Drainage problem in Perris
Previous owner had a severe mud slide in the spring of 2003, resulting in a need to move many tractor loads of earth from the street back onto the site after the rain stopped. The new owner asked us to create a combination of dry rock beds and lines of bamboo screening to handle the large amount of rainwater expected to flow down the site during a rainstorm. The new owner also wanted to create pedestrian and horse paths on the 3 acre site. She laid out the lines of circulation she wanted with chalk lines on the ground and we dug the ditches. During the unexpected heavy rainstorms in early 2005 the ditches handled the problem well, with no mud flow into the street. The site is still under development.
