Modern residence with specimens in the backyard

            Owner wanted two specimens of Japanese timber bamboo located at key points to provide plants which would be attractive and at the same time provide partial screening.  We installed the plants and the watering system in steel planters provided by the owner in 2002.  The space available was limited - the plants haven't done very well at this point.  It will be interesting to see how much growth will be produced in the small areas available for the root systems.
