Bambusa oldhamii installed by home owner and diligently watered by hand, producing fast healthy growth to screen the apartment buildings next door. I worry about the future of these plants because the owner's job has taken him out of town and now the plants must be watered by a tenant.

Note from customer - 'All the new canes from this year have topped out. I noticed last year when the first leaves pop out of the very tip of the cane, that that seems to be the final height of the new cane. I'd have to guess the tallest ones are around 40 feet. I have to remember how to gauge height from my boy scout days. Suffice to say they are a hell of a lot taller than I thought they would be after being in the ground only a year and a half.
