Residence in Los Angeles

I noticed this attractive street side Phyllostachys aurea (Golden bamboo) hedge while I was driving by and stopped to photograph it.   I don't really know when it was planted or how the rhizomes are contained - it must be by mowing.  I've got to stop by someday and ask the owner.
