Sophia Loren and Carlo Ponti's Estate

In 1985 a young man parked his exotic convertible parked North in the middle of the South-bound lane in front of our house in Tustin.  He knocked on our door, announced he was Carlo Ponti and wanted to see our bamboo.  Hermine said 'you look awfully young for Carlo Ponti.'  He responded - 'that would be my father'.  Hermine said 'that explains it - Hot Mother!'  Apparently he did like some bamboos, because his family put a lot of bamboo into the landscaping for their new home in Hidden Valley, north of Los Angeles.  These photos were taken in 2005, when the home was put up for sale.
