Gordon Bunshaft designed a project for the Tishman brothers on this site - they didn't like his design.  So - he told me to design what I thought they would like.  I did, they did and I followed it all the way through construction.  The most fun was using the bathroom in PJ Clark's (Famous bar at the corner of the site) with cakes of ice in the urinals to keep the smell down.
