Very confusing name - up until around 2009 botanist Chris Stapleton determined
outside of China it was called Fargesia Rufa and of course then he said we
should all be using the Chinese name, which came first.

Forms a dense clump of solid canes and weeping evergreen leaves. Small plants
were originally imported from Germany to the United States in the 1990's.
