- SINOBAMBUSA TOOTSIK
-
- 15' height, Sun, 0 degrees F Minimum, Runner.
- Does not like
cold dry winters. Unique tufted appearance with
lower portions of culms free of leaves, strong main
vertical lines & clumps of cloud-like foliage,
somewhat like small more interesting version of
semiarundinaria fastuosa. Japanese gardeners
like to use it as special accent in entry
gardens. Used for hedging on grounds of Chinese Buddhist temples.
- Does well in
pots, at least partly because it is of good size, not
too huge but big enough to make an impression.
- 5 gallon pot
sold at fall 1991 SCABS sale for $25. 3 5 gallon pots
sold at spring 1994 SCABS auction for $20.
