        The split culms from this plant are used in the manufacture of woven materials. As an ornamental plant it is rumored to have less tip burn than most Phyllostachys.
        David Andrews in Maryland reports leaves damaged at 0 degrees F. & minor rhizome damage at -8 degrees F.
Jean Harrington says this is one of the Phyllostachys that do well in Florida.  Plant called P. arcana luteosulcata sold for $110 at the 10/95 ABS sale in Savannah.
