Mexican Weeping Bamboo, introduced into the U.S. by
ABS in 1986. Comes from the hot, humid lowlands
of the state of Veracruz in Mexico. Smaller
& more delicate looking than the more common
Otatea acuminata azectorum.
- A 3 gallon pot
sold for $235 at the ABS auction in 1988. A
gallon pot was sold at the fall 1991 S.Cal.A.B.S. sale
for $15.
