        Thin-walled plant from the Himalayan mountains above 7,000'.  Used for weaving mats.

        The ABS So Cal reference collection contained a plant as of 12/92.  One 5 gallon plant was offered at the fall '92 SCABS sale for $100.  Five collectors tried to buy it.
