GUADUA PANICULATA

Sun, 28 degrees F Minimum, Clumper.

Long narrow leaf, thorny, tropical plant that does not demand a lot of water to look good.  Looks a bit like Mexican Weeping Bamboo, but gets much larger.

 

GUADUA VELUTINA

Clumper, said to have a tiny center hole.  The ABS SoCal reference collection contained a small plant as of 12/92.  An 8" pot 18" tall sold for $65 at the '95 fall SCABS sale.
