Shade/sun, -5 degrees F Minimum, Clumper.

        A rare mountain bamboo from China, found at elevations over 6,000 feet & grown in the U.S. by the ABS from seed obtained from Germany.  Does not seem to be happy in Southern California.  1 gallon pots were sold at ABS sales in 1990-91 for $25-35.  A 3' high seedling in a 2 gallon pot sold at the September '91 NWABS sale for $85.  A 5 gallon pot sold at the fall '92 SCABS sale for $25.  A 5 gallon pot was offered at the spring '94 SCABS sale for $15, but nobody bought it.  An 8" pot was sold at the '95 SCABS sale for $20.
