DINOCHLOA SCANDENS
Sun, 32 degrees F Minimum, Clumper.  A tropical Bamboo vine from tropical Southeast Asia with 1" diameter stems.  A very small pot was offered at the fall 1991 SCABS. sale for $30.  A 1 gallon pot with 3 3' culms was sold at the September 91 NWABS sale for $55.  In the southern Philippines dinochola forms dense tangles of vegetation in the forest.  Jean Harrington had a 6' tall 1 year-old plant in St Pete Fl that was killed to the ground by one night of 27 degrees in 1955.

DINOCHLOA MOREHEADIANA
200' height, Shade/sun, 35 degrees F Minimum, Clumper.  Vining bamboo which climbs up other bamboo or trees, & thus gets very tall even though the canes are not very thick.  Imported by the ABS into the U.S. from Australia in the 1980's, didn't do well.  Not known if it now exists in the U.S. or not.
