        Chinese Goddess Bamboo, Solid-stem Fern-leaf Bamboo, Koon yam chuk.

        Intermediate form from China, said to be smaller than Alphonse Karr but larger & more vigorous than Golden Goddess.    I find the name in the U.S. to be used indiscriminately by growers and the plant is usually a healthy specimen of Golden Goddess.  And I don't like Golden Goddess.  For that reason I don't grow it or recommend it.  The name is too unreliable and one never knows what it's going to grow up to be.
